As a pianist and linguist, Indigo’s love of communication and music deeply informs her filmmaking and creative ideation.

Indigo Bates is a British/American director based in NY. Born and raised in London, she has spent the last decade living in Argentina, Paris, Edinburgh, Seville and now New York.

She has worked on campaigns for Webtoon, Snapchat, Hinge, Pure, Adidas, Nike, Uniqlo, Fitbit, Nordstrom, Ritz Carlton, Barneys and Vince. She balances her time between commercial and narrative work.

Her short films have screened at international festivals in NY, LA, Mexico, London and Edinburgh and she is currently developing her first feature film.
